Hytta Løkkevika is a coastal cabin in south-east Norway, shaped by the meeting between a small plateau, a steep mountainside and the sea.

The wedge-shaped plan follows the footprint of the plateau, allowing the building to sit closely against the exposed rock while opening towards the landscape beyond. The walls inflect in response to the rock face, forming a sheltered entrance and drawing the mountainside into the experience of approaching the cabin. Along this side, the building and rock together define an intimate outdoor room, where the natural terrain becomes an immediate part of the architecture. The sloping roof follows the gradient of the mountain, further reinforcing the relationship between building and topography.

Towards the south-west, the cabin opens towards the horizon and sea through large windows and a generous covered outdoor space.
